My name is Lili Simon, and I am a 2/c cadet at U.S. Coast Guard Academy. I hail from Las Vegas, Nevada. That being said, I’m sure you’re thinking ‘Do they even have water in Nevada?’ I am here to tell you that as a matter of fact there is water in the Battle Born state that I call home.
I’m a Government major with a concentration in Public Policy and Law, and I absolutely love it! While academics are my first priority, I also take time to enjoy the various clubs that are offered here at USCGA. I’m a coxswain for the Women’s Varsity Crew Team. I am also President of Jewish Hillel Club, and a member of the Women’s Leadership Council and Cadets Against Sexual Assault (CASA).
My blog will focus on cadet life here at the Academy, so you can have a perspective of what life is like here in good ol’ New London! I would love to answer any questions that you may have about the Academy and the application process, the clubs that I am involved in, my major, or anything else that comes to mind. Please don’t hesitate to send me an email if you have any questions at Lillian.J.Simon@uscga.edu.
