Hello! My name is Christina Bilodeau and I am a part of the Class of 2015 here at the Coast Guard Academy. I was born and raised in a southern, coastal town in Maine. I went to a public high school in Scarborough and graduated in 2011. I have an older sister who lives in Tampa, Florida. My parents both own their own businesses; my mother is an accountant and my father is a financial advisor. Following in my parents’ footsteps, I decided to major in Operations Research and Computer Analysis, which is comparable to a mathematics major at another college. In the future, my hope is to graduate the Academy and become a Coast Guard aviator.
In high school I played volleyball, tennis, and I alpine ski raced. At the Academy I played volleyball for my first two years, but I have decided to stop to focus on running. I ran my first half-marathon during 2/c summer, and I am running a marathon in November 2013. Running helps clear my head and refocus my energy.
The people I have met here at the Coast Guard Academy have always extended their hands to help in every way. The atmosphere here is like a family and when times become stressful, someone is always there to give you a hand if you need one.
i will gladly respond to any questions that you may have regarding my experience so far at the Academy, the application process, or anything at all that you may be curious about! My email is Christina.M.Bilodeau@uscga.edu.
