In high school I was always heavily involved; being busy runs through my veins. I have already started to sign up for different activities and be involved here at the Academy. I sing in Glee Club and Catholic Choir. I participate in Water Polo and varsity Swimming to start. I am planning on majoring in EE as well, yes I know, ouch. What I can bring to the table is the knowledge of an involved cadet with a colorful background. Any questions involving sports, extracurricular activities, an engineering major, or simply how to keep your sanity during wonderful Swab Summer and 4/c year (sarcasm on that one as far as it being wonderful, more stressful, but, hey, it is a military school that should be expected) could be directed to me.
Also I am not a part of a military family, and R-Day was my first military experience… That being said I could offer my views and advice on how to prepare yourself as a prospective cadet. Anyone who faced that same situation and everyone at the Academy really, knows that R-Day is a day of straight change. Nothing can prepare you for it, especially if you’re a military newbie, but having the comfort of having someone to talk to about what is coming would have definitely calmed some of my nerves. I want to look out for the incoming class and share my experiences as a cadet in the place I now call home.
