My name is Laura Bellm and I am a part of the Great Class of 2015. My nickname since I was a kid is Lulu and that’s also what I go by here at the Academy. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri but moved to San Antonio, Texas when I was four years old and have lived there ever since, so I proudly call Texas home. I have one brother, named Tony, and two dogs, a chocolate labradoodle named Sadie, and a grey Irish doodle, named Ralphie.
I am a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering major. At the Academy, I am involved in many activities including Catholic Club, Triathlon Club, Running Club and Women’s Leadership Council.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, taking trips to Boston and New York City, fishing, hunting, running, scrapbooking, and crafting. I am a proud Oklahoma Sooner fan.
In the fleet, I hope to receive a billet as an Engineering Officer in Training on a 210’ medium endurance cutter.
If you have any questions about the Academy or my experience here, please feel free to email me at Laura.M.Bellm@uscga.edu.
