Dr. Carla Winsor Dr. Carla Winsor (“Doc Wins”) is a Mechanical Engineer, Educator and Writer. She enjoys taking dogs on walks and encountering dinosaur skeletons out in museums, parks, and airports. Her passion for the environment, improving people’s quality of life, and human movement fueled her successful pathway through academia. Dr. Winsor draws from a variety of experiences spanning the Girl Scouts, the Coast Guard, Sandia National Laboratories, Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, and Insigneo Institute for in silico Medicine to create an immersive and fun educational environment. Dr. Winsor’s commitment to excellence in education and research makes her an invaluable asset to the Coast Guard Academy community, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and forward-thinking education.
