LCDR Craig Johnson is a 2009 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy. His staff and operational assignments have focused on maritime law enforcement, and he has spent six years working within the Coast Guard’s Deployable Specialized Forces. During his career, he has been part of the U.S. military basketball team, served as a White House Social Aide, and deployed to the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines as maritime law enforcement liaison. LCDR Johnson holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University and Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He reported to the Coast Guard Academy in July 2022 as an instructor in the Government Department. LCDR Johnson teaches courses on Public Policy, Probability & Statistics, and Global Affairs. He also serves as the advisor to the LGBT affinity council and is an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team.
