Dianna Garfield, M.S., MBA, Commander, USCG

Dianna Garfield is rotating military faculty in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering section of the US Coast Guard Academy. She graduated from the University of Washington with an M.S in Industrial Engineering in 2019. Prior to that, she received an MBA in Sustainable Systems from Pinchot University, and graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a B.S in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in 2006. Prior to assignment to USCGA, LCDR Garfield was a Naval Engineer in the Coast Guard. Her sea tours include Student Engineer on USCGC Polar Sea and Engineer Officer on USCGC Active. She also served as a Port Engineer for 210′ cutters and as the Industrial Manager for Base Ketchikan.
