USCGA Military and Academic Individual Proficiency Awards Ceremony

The Coast Guard Academy’s annual Military and Academic Individual Proficiency Awards Ceremony is to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our graduates. Thanks to the gracious support of our donors, the presenters, and all of the families and loved ones, we are able to publicly reaffirm and reinforce the definition of excellence. This ceremony serves as a reminder of what is important to us, what traits we truly value in our graduates, and that it is our responsibility to reward those who embody exemplary achievement.

Individual Proficiency Award Ceremony: May 19, 2026

Commencement: May 20, 2026

Tentative Plan of the Day

Tuesday, May 19

  • 0915– Reception for Award Presenters + Parade Officials – Hamilton Hall
  • 1000– Parade of Cadet Regiment – Washington Parade Ground
  • 1130– Luncheon for 1/c Cadets and Award Presenters – Chase Hall Cadet Wardroom
  • 1300 – Individual Military and Academic Proficiency Awards Ceremony – Leamy Hall Auditorium
  • 1400 – Return to parking, end schedule of events

REAL ID-Compliant Photo Identification Required

Parking

Due to the large number of anticipated visitors and the limited number of available parking spaces, vehicle access to the Coast Guard Academy campus will be restricted on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19-20, 2026. Award presenters and parade officials should expect to receive separate communication regarding parking arrangements. General visitors should refer to the parking and transportation information available on the Coast Guard Academy’s Commencement webpage: Graduates and Guests.
