In 2019, a recommendation was made to adopt what is known as an inclusive pedagogy framework, the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) Inclusive Pedagogy Framework. On 25MAR24, the results of a study related to the framework, entailing an in-depth 4-year multi-disciplinary effort by six CGA faculty members (Dr. Angela Jackson-Summers, Dr. Karina Mrakovcich, Dr. Joshua Gray, CAPT Corinna Fleischmann, Dr. Tooran Emami, and Dr. Eric Page), was published. The study’s results and publication further support adoption of the CIRTL Inclusive Pedagogy Framework recommendation by sharing prior literature that members of higher education can use as examples when applying each of the CIRTL Inclusive Pedagogy Framework’s three core competencies: Inclusive Communication, Inclusive Pedagogy Practices, and Designing Inclusive Curriculum. The publication can be found here.
