Georgia Military College
Located in Milledgeville, about 93 miles southeast of Atlanta, Georgia Military College (GMC) was established in 1879 to educate young people from the middle of Georgia in an environment fostering good citizenship. In 1950, the U.S. War Department designated GMC as one of five Military Junior Colleges in the United States.
The Coast Guard’s affiliation with GMC began in 2011.
Mission
The mission of Georgia Military College is to produce educated citizens and contributing members of society in an environment conducive to the development of the intellect and character of its students. “Start Here…..Go Anywhere!”
