At the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, cheerleading is more than just rallying a crowd, it’s a display of pride, discipline, and unity. The USCGA Cheer Team brings energy and motivation to every game and event, proudly representing the Academy both on and off the field. Whether we’re performing stunts on the sidelines or leading chants from the front row, our mission is to support our teams and ignite school spirit with every routine.
Practices are rigorous and built around trust, communication, and teamwork. With every lift, jump, and formation, cadets are expected to bring the same level of focus and dedication that they apply in the classroom and in the fleet. Being a part of the cheer team means showing up with resilience, holding yourself accountable, and pushing through challenges together just like any other unit.
But beyond the routines and sharp motions, USCGA Cheer is a family. It’s a group of cadets who celebrate each other’s victories, lift each other up through setbacks, and create lasting memories in a fast-paced, demanding environment. I’ve made lifelong friends and met some of my absolute best friends through this team, people I know will be in my corner long after graduation. The bond we’ve built is something truly special, and I genuinely couldn’t imagine my Academy experience without them. The energy, support, laughter, and love we share are unmatched. Being on this team has been one of the most rewarding parts of my cadet journey, and I’m endlessly proud to cheer alongside such an amazing, dedicated, and inspiring group. Semper Paratus, and go Bears! 🐻💙
