Visits Unrivaled

We believe that visiting is essential to making an informed decision. We are pleased to offer unparalleled college visits on-campus, on-the-road, and virtually! You are also welcome to tour the campus on your own by picking up a self-guided tour pamphlet from the Admissions Office.

Campus Programs

Admissions Brief and Tour dates for August are posted below. Please join us to explore cadet life by registering for the programs below.

This program is a great introduction for first-time visitors to CGA and provides an overview of the Academy and the admissions process. It is best suited for students in grades 9-12 who want to learn relevant information to apply to CGA. This program is a two-hour session held on select weekdays (1 PM to 3 PM) and select Saturdays (9 AM to 11 AM ET).

Experience life at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy by walking in the shoes of a cadet. Shadow classes, meet cadets, explore campus, and discover the mission-driven culture that makes USCGA unique. This overnight program is for 12th graders who have applied to the Coast Guard Academy.

Cadet for a Day programs also provide informational sessions for parents on Day 2. Parent participation is optional, and any attending parents/guests will need to make their own overnight arrangements. This two-day program typically runs from 3 PM on Day 1 to 3 PM on Day 2. Cadet for a Day program dates are offered exclusively during fall 2026.

Bears Day offers an informative and engaging full day program where students and families learn about the admissions process, cadet life, and more! This program is best suited for 11th graders preparing to apply in their senior year. The program is typically 9 AM-4 PM.

CGA Virtual Spotlights provide an opportunity for interested students to learn more about the CGA application process, our AIM summer program, Coast Guard careers, and a variety of topics. Spotlights are typically held on Wednesday evenings (8-9 PM) once per month via Microsoft Teams.

PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR FUTURE EVENTS

The Academy Experience Program is designed for students who have received conditional or full appointments to the Coast Guard Academy or the CGA Scholars Program. This two-day program provides an opportunity for students to make an informed decision. Academy Experience Program dates are offered exclusively during the winter and spring of 2027.
