Internships

Each 1st Class (senior) summer, all Engineering majors have the option to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom by working as an intern at operational engineering units, at national labs, and a variety of other options. Interns at Coast Guard units are typically assigned projects that deliver solutions to real problems faced by the Coast Guard, and they perform the actual design or fieldwork.  Other internships provide experience in research and technical projects.
