Stephanie Wilson LT Wilson grew up in Westchester, NY and is a 2019 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Science. Upon graduation, her first assignment was serving aboard the Fast Response Cutter CGC Richard Snyder (WPC 1127) homeported in Atlantic Beach, NC. There she completed a variety of Coast Guard missions including Search and Rescue and Living Marine Resource enforcement. In 2021, she transferred to Sector Miami in Miami Beach, FL, where she served as the Deputy Chief of Incident Management. She coordinated and oversaw responses to marine pollution incidents as a Federal On Scene Coordinator Representative, and stood command center watch supporting search and rescue operations and maritime safety and security missions. Following her tenure at Sector Miami, LT Wilson attended the University of Kentucky (UK) in Lexington, KY and earned her M.S. in Chemistry. At UK, her graduate research focused on converting bourbon stillage, a distillery byproduct, into value-added activated carbon materials for sustainable energy storage applications. Upon graduation from UK in 2026, LT Wilson joined the Chemical and Environmental Sciences (CES) department as a Rotating Military Faculty Member.
