
Master Chief Knapp serves as a faculty member at the United States Coast Guard Academy’s School of Leadership and Management.
Prior to this, he served as the Command Senior Chief of Sector Upper Mississippi River. His primary responsibility was to advise the Commanding Officer of Sector Upper Mississippi River on issues and initiatives pertaining to all Coast Guard members and their families within the Sector’s Area of Responsibility.

Master Chief Knapp enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1996. He then enlisted in the Coast Guard Reserves in 2003, where he transitioned to Active Duty in 2006.
